Molveno and the Lake Garda

Molveno and the Lake Garda: two beauties of the Trentino in a single tour

Trento, Andalo, Molveno, Riva del Garda

If the motto for your excursion is to see as much as possible in a short time, than we suggest you a trip from Trento to the north shore of the Lake Garda. From there, crossing the Nonsberg you get back through the Valle dei Laghi.

Coming from Trento, take the first road northwards to turn left at Mezzocorona towards Nonsberg (which in Italian is a valley, namely the “Valle di Non”). Shortly after Mezzocorona, turn left again towards Andalo.

When you reach this tourist site, the road begins to descend again and some minutes later you can enjoy the view on the emerald green Lake of Molveno. If you want to take a break here, you can look for a secluded spot on the shore, otherwise you proceed along the left bank of the lake. On the right you can see the landscape of the natural park Adamello Brenta, on the left stretches the Monte Bondone.

Through the Sarca valley you finally reach the north shore of Lake Garda. Here the view is probably the best at sunset. In the health resort you can stroll along the lake before crossing the Valle dei Laghi to get back to Trento.

Duration: around 2 hours and 30 minutes
