The highlight: tour of the Lake Garda

Riva del Garda, Limone, Peschiera, Malcesine

Lake Garda is not only the largest lake in Italy, it also offers a more varied landscape than most others. Therefore, a tour around the lake is always worthwhile, so that you can fully enjoy the diversity and beauty of it.

To save time on arrival, take the Brennero highway (A22) from Trento to the Rovereto Sud exit, from where you can reach Riva del Garda in a few minutes.

From Riva drive along the western shore of the lake, which is in the province of Brescia, to Limone. The road leads not only along the lake, but also on the borders of the Natural Park Alto Garda Bresciano, which stretches up to San Felice del Benaco.

Once there, you turn towards Padenghe, leave the lakeside and arrive at Peschiera. There you can insert an intermediate stop and briefly consult the schedule. If you are in a hurry, you can turn off from Peschiera in the direction of the highway and then it back to Trento.

But if you have time, it is worthwhile to continue on the east coast, past Lazise, Bardolino and Malcesine. This lakeshore is located in the province of Verona and on the slopes of Monte Baldo.

To get back to Trento you cross Mori and Rovereto and take again the highway A22.

Duration: around 4 hours

Distance: 238 kilometers
